Meant to be - Laramie Briscoe

And I'm back in biker land. The story had a good start but the end ... I wasn't ready it to end like that. It wasn't even a cliffhanger. The author left so many lines open just to force me to read the second book. I really don't like when they do it.
I also couldn't understand Denise. She was a single mother of two. I understood why she took the job, I even got why she started the relationship with Liam. But her transformation from a law-abiding single mother to a law breaking old lady was too quick. She never asked any questions. These men weren't some fluffy teddy bears fixing and selling bikes. They transported drugs, killed people, and had conflicts with other clubs. I would have been in panic, frightened for my and my children's lives.
But Denise wasn't. She didn't even ask what would happen when her children grew up. Do they have to join the club and live their lives as criminals? She wants her kids to have a better life but never asks what kind of future do her kids have inside of a biker club? It really bothered me.
