I read a lot of Laurann Dohner books this summer. In July it turned some kind of an addiction. I had never before read about cyborgs. It was so fascinating I had to start another of her books as soon as I had finished the previous.
In "Burning Up Flint" I liked the world building a lot and I even liked the hero. Yes, there were times when he acted harshly, but I could understand his reasons. What I didn't get, was Mira's emotional blackmail. She repeatedly threatened her life to get what she wanted. Also, she wasn't very bright. I've read the second story of the series and Rena, the heroine of "Kissing Steel" is much more intelligent.
